I know, I'm Crazy!!!

Hey there,
I'm sure you've all noticed that Rach already did it, and I'm afaraid to say I'm doing it too...
Yep, Moving, this is the last time, I promise, we bought a year mebership, so we have to stay put for at least that long! There is good news, my new url is much shorter... www.tlw.typepad.com, still tiny little woman, things will look relatively the same, please don't leave me... Here we are!!!

I finally grabbed my camera and took a few fun pictures, it is about time!  First of all, we'll cover the topic of Johnson Baby #2.  She is doing well, we get to see her (via ultrasound) on Wednesday, yay, I love that part!  She kicks and does cartwheels all the live-long-day, you can see it from the outside now, so that is fun to watch!  We are 27 weeks now, getting very, very, super-duper-dee anxious... Oh, yeah!  Did I forget to mention that she/my belly is growing like CRAZY!  (check it out)  Last week I had my first stranger ask me when I was due : )

Now, we will document a day in the life of the new workin' girls, illustrated by pictures of my darling little daughter Delaney Marin!  Here we are on our way to work/yaya's house! We are still a little sleepy, and the camera flash is a little too bright for 7:00 in the morning, but she is still as cute and sweet as ever.  I should take this moment to do a little mommy-bragging... This child, is effortless, it really doesn't get better that this!  All of those big changes that occur in a child's life (sleeping through the night, teething, potty training, moving to big-kid room, having mommy go back to work, etc) that usually require horrible, awkward adjustment time and acting out... Delaney just breezes right through these things as gracefully as humanly possible, what a lucky mommy I am!                We've landed at Yaya's! I should take this moment to express how lucky I am to have my mom here to take of my little lady during this strange time I've found myself in!  I wouldn't be doing this at all if she weren't here to play with Delaney all day, plus she makes me breakfast and lunch sometimes too, which is wonderfully sweet icing on the cake.  Yaya Rules!Well, after of day of fun at Yaya's house/and a day of work at work for me, it's time to grab my little bug and get home and this is by far the best part of the day...  I think Delaney thinks so too!  So, to sum up this has been challeng- ing, and harder than I thought, but we're making it work and it's not forever!!!  We might even be having a little bit of fun, but don't tell anyone!

Holy Crap!!!

Ok, I knew this was going to be an adjustment, but this is ridiculous!!!  It's obviously been too long since I have participated in blogger-land and that makes me sad and I hope that everyone will bare with me for a little longer... I am a living, breathing disater!  I can't think straight, I can't remember anything, I am soooooo not good at managing the tiny bit of free time I have left at the end of the day, I miss my Laney-bug way too much and don't even get me started on how stinkin' busy the actual job has been, whew! (take a deep breath) 

To sum up, this has been a little harder than I thought it would be, and I am a little more exhausted than I thought I would be, and I really miss playing on my blog every day, and doing whatever I wanted to all the time, and talking to rach all the live-long-day... : (  I hope to find time very soon to add more photos and drawings and comments and knits, wish me luck and please don't give up on me, I'll be back!

Working Girl!!!

What a week it's been!  I have somehow been brainwashed into making some pretty crazy decisions lately!  Last week I submitted my resume to a magazine that was looking for a graphic designer... I thought I'd just check to see if there was any chance they might be looking for freelance help.  Instead, they interviewed me and offered me a full time position as an in-house designer in training to take over as art director!!!  WHAT THE ???!!!  All this in spite of the fact that sometime in the next 3 to 3 1/2 months I'll be poppin' out a baby!  I had no idea what to do or say, and in the heat of the moment I accepted the position (thinking of how nice it would be to cushion our savings account a little before the new baby arrives) knowing full well that this isn't anything I ever intended to do!  Well they were so anxious to get me going that I started yesterday, so I have two days down and I am pretty darn overwhelmed.  It is such a cool job, with really cool people, but I am just too used to hanging out with Miss Delaney all day, and to go eight hours at a time without seeing her is just too much... We'll have to wait and see how long I can keep this up...  Oh yeah, the reason for this whole long story is to tell you all that I wont be able to keep up with this quite as diligently as I wish I could, what with me never being home anymore : (   And don't even get me started on the topic of when I'm gonna have time to knit : (    : (    : (

Things that brighten even a crummy day!

What a day I had... it was a morning of too many things to do in not enough time!  Drop car off at dealer for repairs (that they caused) Wait around for an hour for the rental car guy (who shows up with the wrong car)  Drive all the way back to town for a Dr. Appt. that I am a half hour late to (thanks to all the helpful car people) Ahhhhhhh!  This was all before 11:00 am.  Well the rest of the day was just as hectic, but not nearly as aggravating, leading me to cause some kind of trauma to my poor little pregnant body... what could only be described as a four hour long contraction, Ugh!  But how can you be bothered by a day like today when your darling little lady wants to have a photo shoot before bed and this is how it turns out!  No one could have ever explained to me just how much fun I would have with her : )  And I should probably also mention that after treating me to an "ode to pregnancy" ice cream dessert, my horribly wonderful husband went on a cleaning spree, giving this house a desperately needed face-lift, all while I was talking on the phone to my most-est, dear-est, best-est friend ever (Rachel, of course) who made my day today because she gets even more excited for me than I get for myself when good things happen, don't know what I'd do without her!  And last but not least, my mummy or YaYa as Delaney calls her!  She cared for my little one all day while I was running around like a mad-man, and Delaney had so much fun (painted toe-nails and all)!!!  I'm so glad I have all these fabulous people to make me forget about crappy days!  Thanks!

A new place & a new face!

Hi there, not much time to say too much right now, but... here I am and here I shall stay!  Rachel and I are putting together some really fun things, including (if we can get it all figured out) an on-line store! YAY!!! We are so excited about this!  I'll have lots more to tell once we get all settled in!
