This past weekend was full... full of no fun!
Jason and I took on a huge project in our bedroom called: wallpaper... never again!
We didn't intend to open the wallpaper door, but never the less it has been opened and ripped off the hinges. We have lived in our hose for about 2.5 years. I moved in hating the hideous blue on white floral print from the 80's, but of coarse nothing has ever been done about it. So, we decide to sell the house and now we choose to better our room. Isn't that the way it always goes. My house is going to be exactly the way I wanted it, and I'm going to pack my bags and move right out. Oh, well. Back to the story... OK, the wallpaper was placed right onto the dry wall, meaning that I can't get it off for nothing! I lie, I could get it off if I really wanted but it would take me two weeks! Not going to go down that road. We picked out a new paper. Not bad... striped and neutral. We spent all day Sunday trying to get it up and we are only half way done with the room. But, it looks great, for wallpaper. (I'm usually strictly a paint girl) I was hoping the job would be done on Sunday, but it will not be finished I'm thinking til, oh, next Sunday. I just don't even want to try and get going on it after work. We are both too tired and would most definitely kill each other in the process. "It's not strait!" "That's not my fault!" " Your getting glue on the carpet!" "No I'm not!" So job postponed until next weekend.

Thanks for the sweet comment! You're the best. What we should do is get together and let those boys hang up the wallpaper, and we can do fun stuff. Hanging wallpaper is the pits!

Oh I hate wallpaper (yet it can be so utterly pretty sometimes) I have this wonderful mother with this endless patience span who did all the getting rid of the wallpaper for me and that's what I call love LOL. I feel your pain Rachel!

Eeeeee. Home improvement projects for moving is on our platter too. Not usually a prescription for blissful matrimony, but you've got to do what you've got to do, I guess! I hear you on the exhaustion after work and the terror of wallpaper (when I bought my house, I eventually learned that the previous owners so very kindly painted all my walls seller's white...even over layers and layers of wallpaper!). Best of luck to you as you tackle this huge task. I know you will feel greatly rewarded when you're finished!

Morning! I should've done this last night but once we got off the phone I just ran outta steam! I can totally see the whole wallpapering extravaganza in my head, and where I do feel so bad for you, it is a little comical I have to admit! I wish I were there to help, between the two of us being perfectionists to a fault, it would be the prettiest wallpaper job ever done! Hope you have a good day at work, I'll talk to you later!

I had the brilliant idea once of hiding the cracked plaster ceiling in our kitchen with wallpaper that's textured like the old tin ceiling tiles. I had tried to work out this project on my own, and had relegated the smoothing of the paper by using the flat end of my swiffer! Pretty funny sight. It didn't work. It ended up taking three of us to finish the job. ;)

I think that was the nicest comment I've ever had!!! You are the bestest in the world!!! And I just have to say that I LOVE what you've done with our contact page at wink, sooooooooo perfect!!! And I also think that your voice is really cute when you have a cold, even though it makes me a little sad because you sound so exhausted and even a little miserable. I hope your cold passes soon. I'm going to call you now!

Yikes, I am not good with wallpaper myself - you are very brave! I would put it up crooked, get glue on the floor, on me, on everything in a 10 foot radius. But then again, if I painted, I would up it to a 20 foot radius...
